The Baltimore Ravens are hoping to get back on track as Lamar Jackson is expected to return to his QB1 position this week after missing the last three games with a high ankle sprain. If he does not have any setbacks in the final days before Sunday's game, he may be looking to take advantage of the Buffalo Bills' secondary.

Buffalo cornerback Dee Alford has an ankle injury and after he was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice session, he did not practice with the Bills on Thursday. That may not mean that Alford is going to miss the Week 8 home game against the Ravens, but he may be feeling the effects of his injury when he is on the field.

The Ravens started the season by winning four of their first five games, but they have suffered back-to-back defeats and are sitting in 4th place in the AFC North division with a 4-3 record. They suffered a shocking 35-13 defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals at home in Week 7, and new coach Jesse Minter wants to see his team get back on track.

The Bills are in first place in the AFC East with a 5-1 record, but they have largely earned their victories because of the superior play of QB Josh Allen and the offense. The Buffalo defense has struggled badly as they are giving up 386.8 yards per game and that ranks 31st in the NFL. Additionally, the Bills are allowing 28.5 points per game, and that ranks 30th in the league.

While Alford is not a star defensive back, the Bills need him to help contain the Baltimore offense with Jackson at the helm.
