Luka Doncic was on fire with an incredible scoring night. That didn't stop from him turning to his teammates, especially Austin Reaves, during the Los Angeles Lakers' comeback win over the Utah Jazz on Sunday night.
In 38 minutes of action, Doncic balled out with 52 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds, and two steals. He shot 17-of-30 from the field, including 8-of-18 from beyond the arc, and 10-of-11 from the free-throw line.
Doncic reflected on the win after the game on the broadcast. He noted how he was willing to pass the ball to Reaves, even with his red-hot scoring night.
“I mean, he was wide open, and I missed the previous three, so he was wide open. He was a hack today. He had five fouls, but no. Overall, you know, we had a terrible first quarter, so that fight that came back in the second quarter helped us get this win,” Doncic said.
"Played the basketball we know how to play. We learned our lesson, so we cannot start games like this anymore."
