A Kobe Bryant trading card sold for a record $4.2 million on Sunday, the highest price ever paid for an individual card featuring the Los Angeles Lakers icon, according to Card insider Adam Gray
The 2017 Flawless Kobe Logoman autograph card, graded PSA 9/10, fetched $4.2 million. Gray confirmed that the transaction was completed between the seller, Secure, and the buyer, Instagram user Pokecolor6666_. The deal also ranks as the second-highest sale ever recorded for a Flawless card.
Featuring a game-worn patch, the card was produced a couple of years after Bryant announced his retirement.
The $4.2 million transaction eclipses the previous record for a solo Bryant card, which stood at $3.15 million. That watershed moment materialized in April 2026 when Alt purchased a 1997 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems Green card graded PSA 5. The collectible is particularly rare, with only 10 green PMG parallels produced for the set. Its $3.15 million sale had previously broken the reported $2.4 million record.

A 2007-08 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Dual Logoman autograph card featuring both Michael Jordan and Bryant, graded PSA 6, sold for $12,932,000 through Heritage Auctions on Aug. 23, 2025. The one-of-one collectible remains the record-holder for the highest-priced sports card ever sold.
Bryant's legacy far outweighs the worth of his memorabilia. He retired following the 2015-16 season after producing a memorable 60-point performance in his final game with the Lakers. Across his career, he won five NBA championships, earned two NBA Finals MVP awards and one regular-season MVP, and claimed two scoring titles. He also earned 15 All-NBA selections, 12 All-Defensive honors and 18 All-Star appearances.
