Bryson DeChambeau is seemingly fully onboard for a LIV Golf comeback, he revealed in a recent podcast interview.
On the "Figuring Out" podcast, DeChambeau told host Raj Shamani that the reformatted league will "make full financial sense" and will hopefully exist "forever."
"The business model makes a lot of sense," DeChambeau said. "And we're actually working through that right now for this new model where it will make full financial sense.
"It's no funny business, no nothing. It's going to be done right. And this is going to be a league, hopefully, that exists forever."
Widely seen as the face of the league, DeChambeau acknowledged that LIV suffered from some mismanagement, which led to a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in September, after the league had been forced to end its season earlier than expected due to financial difficulties.
Several players announced they would be departing from the league shortly thereafter, including big names such as Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton and Sergio Garcia.
Still, an extended deadline for golfers to commit to the league recently came and went on Oct. 30, with a reported 15 to 20 pros committed to return.
They'll likely be greeted by a different financial situation, with potential equity shares in the league being a bigger piece of compensation, replacing the previous extravagant salaries.
The appeal for many of those other golfers beyond possible ownership stakes may be the commitment to team play, something DeChambeau himself cited as being a reason for his own decision-making.
"The point of it is that the team golf stuff, I was very excited about," DeChambeau added. "I really care, and I still do care deeply about the team golf stuff.
"And the top company just wasn't really managed that effectively. And I know that now... I didn't know that during the time.
