The Arizona Cardinals needed a jolt on offense after benching quarterback Jacoby Brissett. So Gardner Minshew lit a fire in leading the Cards over the Dallas Cowboys in overtime.
Minshew carried his emotions postgame too in leading the upset at AT&T Stadium. And delivered this motivational speech bound to resonate with Cardinal fans back in Glendale, Arizona.
“You keep going, putting your best foot forward and you'll give yourself a chance,” Minshew said postgame.

Minshew entered with under 1:40 left in the third quarter. He delivered a more efficient 15-of-20 passing behind center, tossing three total touchdowns in the process.
But the biggest one came with under 10 seconds left. Minshew hit Michael Wilson near the back of the end zone, tying the game up at 30-30.

Arizona then rose to the occasion on defense in overtime, forcing a critical three-and-out on the Cowboys' first and only overtime possession.
Minshew cooked from there, starting the game-winning drive in connecting with star tight end Trey McBride for eight yards. Then on third-and-one, Wilson took a designed WR jet sweep handoff and accelerated 17 yards to get inside Dallas territory. He even fought off broken ribs to finish the game.
Running back Tyler Allgeier handled the offensive load from there; handling four carries and tallying 18 yards to get Arizona to the Dallas 24.
Placekicker Chad Ryland showed up next to boot the walk off field goal that handed the Cardinals, plus coach Mike LaFleur, their third victory together, Arizona now improves to 3-5 overall in a crowded NFC West race. But now Minshew appears to be the QB moving forward after willing the Cards to the win.
