With Dallas Mavericks head coach Dusty May getting his first win in the 121-105 victory over the Indiana Pacers, the team is now dealing with injuries to two key players. As Mavericks star Cooper Flagg is battling a shoulder sprain, the status has now been revealed for Kyrie Irving and his listing for Saturday's contest against the San Antonio Spurs.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Dallas is “expected” to list Irving as “questionable” for the aforementioned game against the Spurs on Saturday. In regards to the injury listed with Irving, it will be due to the player's “ongoing left knee injury management” as the game is second game of a back-to-back.
“The Mavericks, I’m told, are expected to list Kyrie Irving as questionable for tonight’s home opener as part of Irving’s ongoing left knee injury management on Dallas’ first back-to-back of the season,” Stein wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Dallas is already without Cooper Flagg due to a mild left shoulder sprain.”
