Despite being a two-time champion and two-time All-Defensive Second Team player, New York Knicks star OG Anunoby has never made an NBA All-Star team, and superfan Ben Stiller wants that to change.
During the Knicks' second preseason game of the year, Stiller took to X, formerly Twitter, to write, “OG ALL-STAR.” His message was loud and clear.
Anunoby is entering his 11th year (and fourth with the Knicks after being acquired during the 2023-24 NBA season), so hopefully he can make an All-Star team this time around.
He was a first-round pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Indiana by the Raptors. He was born in London, England, before moving to the United States when he was four. Anunoby played high school basketball for Jefferson City in Missouri.
Has Knicks' OG Anunoby ever made an NBA All-Star team?

Anunoby has not made an NBA All-Star team despite having a great career. He averaged as much as 18 points per game in a single season, and he is renowned for his defense. Still, he hasn't received the honor yet.
At least he has won championships. He won one with the Toronto Raptors before winning one with the Knicks in 2026. This was New York's first championship since 1973.

His efforts during the 2025-26 season resulted in his second All-Defensive Second Team nod. He previously made it in 2023 while with the Raptors. That year, he led the league in steals per game (1.9).
The Knicks are hoping to repeat as champions this season. They will open their regular season against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, Oct. 20. The Knicks swept the Sixers in the playoffs last season, but Philly has added superstars like Jaylen Brown and LeBron James. It will be an even tougher road for New York.
