The Philadelphia 76ers were able to get a feel for what their starting lineup might look like on the court in their preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets. There were some good things that came out of their stint together, and definitely some things that they can work on before the regular season starts. There was some ugly as well, as Joel Embiid fell on Jaylen Brown at one point, and the new 76ers player winced for a bit.
Luckily, Brown got up and looked fine. After the game, he shared the same sentiments.
“Flexed my knee a little bit, but it seems to be all right,” Brown said via ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
Those types of incidents come with spacing issues, and it's obvious the team is still trying to figure out how to play with each other. Other than that, it was good to see all five starters on the court, especially LeBron James, who made his preseason debut with the 76ers.
“The game is the game, and the game is needed to be played on the floor… it was great to finally log some time with the guys that you know we know are gonna be in the fold,” James said.

The only way they're going to learn each other is if they play, but rest will also be a priority. With James, there will probably be times throughout the season where he gets some rest days, and Embiid could be the same way when looking at his injury history.
Brown, Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe might be the three players who lead the team in minutes this season.
