While not always the most exciting game, New York Knicks guard Tyler Kolek got superfan Spike Lee out of his seat with his behind-the-back pass against the Detroit Pistons.

In the fourth quarter of the Knicks-Pistons game, Kolek missed a layup. While Ausar Thompson got the rebound, Kolek didn't give up, stealing the ball from him. He then delivered a pass to Karl-Anthony Towns while his back was turned to him, leading to a KAT dunk.

It was an electric moment, and it gave the Knicks a 25-point lead over their rivals. Lee, who was sitting courtside as usual, leapt out of his seat to give Kolek and Towns a standing ovation.

Kolek has played 26 minutes over the last two games in place of the injured Jose Alvarado. He hasn't made a field goal yet — though he made two free throws against Detroit — but had nine assists against the Orlando Magic and two steals against the Pistons.

The stars were out for the Knicks' game against the Pistons. Lee, Fat Joe, and Ben Stiller were all sitting courtside for the game at Madison Square Garden. They are some of the team's most notable celebrity fans, so it's no surprise that they made it to the Garden.

New York picked up their first win of the year after starting 0-3. Detroit entered the game undefeated and was handed their first loss by the defending champions. Last season, the Pistons won all three contests against the Knicks during the regular season. While they finished as the top seed in the Eastern Conference, the teams didn't meet in the playoffs.

Both teams will play the night after their game. The Pistons will host the Charlotte Hornets, while the Knicks will travel to Chicago to play the Bulls. New York will then visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, Oct. 30, after losing to them on Opening Night.
