Over the summer, the New York Knicks won a championship, their first in 53 years, and some fans found creative ways to honor the team with baby names.

Of course, this went viral on social media. Someone pointed out a mistake the family might have made, though, in the comments section of Complex Sports' post about it, saying it was a “huge miss not to do ‘Nixon Five.'”
Knickson Fyve Bradford was born on Aug. 8, 2026, just a couple of months after the Knicks won the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs.
New York beat San Antonio in five games to win the title. Jalen Brunson was named NBA Finals MVP for his performance. He averaged 32.6 points per game.
The celebrations continued through the summer, from the locker room to the parade. It culminated with the banner being raised and championship rings being issued to players on Opening Night on Oct. 20.

In the offseason, the 76ers reloaded. They added LeBron James and Jaylen Brown, who joined forces with Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and VJ Edgecombe.
The Knicks will next play the Boston Celtics on Friday, Oct. 23. The Celtics added former Knicks center Mitchell Robinson over the summer.
