Kendrick Perkins had immense praises for Victor Wembanyama after the latter put up a historic performance in the San Antonio Spurs' 112-112 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night.

Wembanyama started the fourth season of his budding NBA career with the Spurs. He shines as one of the best players in the entire league, coming off an NBA Finals run last season. He looks to pick up where he left off, hoping to lead San Antonio to its first championship since 2014.

Wembanyama has a strong tendency as a unicorn type of player, putting up an incredible performance against Dallas. In 34 minutes of action, he delivered a stat line of 52 points, 24 rebounds, eight blocks, two assists, and two steals. He shot 16-of-28 from the field, including 1-of-8 from beyond the arc, and 19-of-23 from the free-throw line.

Perkins reacted to Wembanyama's performance during his Thursday appearance on ESPN's NBA Today. He described the star's display as the “greatest show on earth,” having a firm take on Wembanyama's level of talent.

“Welcome to the greatest show on earth. … [There's] not another athlete in sports right now that is competing or sitting at the same table with [Wemby],” Perkins said.
