The quarterback carousel moved to Jacob Knuth, but he also got injured. This led to Dillon Duff getting the start for Kansas State against Colorado. Duff did not last long at quarterback before Blake Barnett took over.
Now, an update on Avery Johnson is being given by head coach Collin Klein, per Mason Voth of On3.
According to Klein, Johnson has an “outside chance” to return to the field this season, but the chances do not look promising. He has been out of the lineup with neck and shoulder issues. Johnson was playing solid for Kansas State, completing 63.1 percent of his passes for 1,301 yards and ten touchdowns. He also ran in three touchdowns. He is in his fourth year at Kansas State and has passed for 6,877 yards with 58 touchdowns in his career.
