It was the most-watched contest of the weekend, as football fans got to watch Ohio State collapse against Texas. The fourth-quarter collapse has led to a narrative of Ohio State coach Ryan Day being a choke artist.

Now, college football analyst Joel Klatt is encouraging everyone to take a deep breath, speaking on his show.

“How about Ohio State after that loss to Texas? Let's all relax. Let's all channell out inner Aaron Rodgers and just relax about Ohio State,” Klatt said. “So what's the fix? Well you got to figure out the red zone, and what that means is they're going to have to find some rhythm in the red zone. They're going to have to do some things to execute in the red zone. A lot of times they get stuck in this, like we have Jeremiah Smith, and while I totally agree to that extent, you still have to be able to run the ball… By the way, the red zone issues- this has been a problem. It was a problem against Indiana last year in the Big Ten Championship game. They had one touchdown in four red zone drives. So that's certainly something that needs to get fixed, and it will. Let's all stay calm about Ohio State.”

On the first drive of the game against Texas, the red zone issues showed. They began the drive on the Texas 18, and after two runs, had the ball at the four. Then, Bo Jackson lost nine yards on a run. On second down, it was a short completion from Julian Sayin to Mason Williams. Then, Sayin attempted to find Smith, but it was broken up, leading to a field goal.

They converted for a touchdown on their next red zone drive, but on the third one, they went for it on fourth a two, but did not convert, leading to a turnover on downs. Overall, Ohio State made it to the red zone four times, coming away with two touchdowns, a field goal, and a turnover on downs. The bigger issue for Ohio State was getting to the point to score. In the second half against Texas, Ohio State did not get the ball inside the red zone.

Klatt is right, though, as Buckeye fans should relax. Ohio State is still one of the top teams in the nation, and if they can take care of business the rest of the way, they will still be in the playoffs and have a chance to win a title.
