The New York Jets will be facing the New England Patriots in Week 6, and they already know they'll be without some of their key players. Breece Hall will miss his third straight game with a quad injury, while Adoni Mitchell is out again with a finger injury.

That means the Jets will have to rely on other offensive options, which is why the latest updates regarding Omar Cooper and Kenyon Sadiq are big.

“Rookie Omar Cooper Jr., who is been on IR the last four games, will be active on Sunday, Aaron Glenn said. Rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq (concussion protocol) will practice today. Joseph Ossai and Dyland Parham also have been ruled out,” Al Iannazzone of Newsday Sports wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Cooper and Sadiq will definitely be needed against the Patriots, and the hope is that they can make an impact against their strong defense.

With Hall out, Braelon Allen will slot in as the starting running back once again, and he had a big game last week against the Cleveland Browns, where he finished with 116 rushing yards and a touchdown. If Allen can have that kind of production again, the Jets should be able to dominate the run game, which will open up the pass game.

That's where Cooper and Sadiq come in, as well as Garrett Wilson, who also had a solid game against the Browns last week.

The Jets seem to be making strides this season, and they're off to a way better start than they did last season. It could be because both sides of the ball improved over the offseason, and the front office made sure to add impact players to the roster.

Now, they'll be going up against a real test in the Patriots, and it'll be interesting to see if they can step up to the challenge.
