Coach Aaron Glenn's New York Jets are 2-5 after a Week 7 home loss to the hapless Miami Dolphins, which led to a heated sideline moment from receiver Garrett Wilson that he explained after the game. Fans became upset at Glenn's attempt to explain the direction of his team after the embarrassing loss, which included a big passing day from quarterback Geno Smith.

Smith finished with 287 yards, three touchdowns and an interception on the day, but fans wanted to know what Wilson said to him on the sidelines afterward.

“Oh, naw, I don't remember that. He might have been yelling, but I don't think he was yelling at me,” Smith said.

Smith and the Jets outgained the Dolphins by 17 yards but still lost to a winless team at home, amplifying calls for Glenn to be replaced as head coach. Rookie WR Omar Cooper Jr. led the Jets with 115 yards receiving and a touchdown. Smith's team out-passed Malik Willis and the Dolphins by a final tally of 269 yards to 204, while amassing a sterling 7.1 yards-per-play total.

It wasn't enough as Caleb Douglas recorded a 63-yard touchdown catch for the Dolphins from Willis to make it 28-17 with 4:44 left in the fourth quarter, a lead Miami would never relinquish.

Glenn's “boneheaded” clock management caused fans to wonder how New York could have botched a game against a winless opponent at home, with the head coach firmly on the hot seat. The Jets have a little time to rest before welcoming Klint Kubiak's Las Vegas Raiders to town on November 1, a game that looks like a must-win if Glenn wants to quiet calls for his job heading into the meat of his team's schedule.
