The New York Giants romped past the Arizona Cardinals 36-24 on Sunday in Week 4 at MetLife Stadium, improving to 3-1 and moving into sole possession of first place in the National Football Conference East for the first time since November 2015. The Giants also started 3-0 at home for the first time since 2008.

Quarterback Jameis Winston put together his best performance of the season, despite a few costly mistakes. He completed 18 of 29 passes for 250 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions, helping New York recover from a 14-3 deficit and head into halftime with a 19-17 advantage.

Malik Nabers proved to be one of Winston's go-to targets. The wide receiver finished with six catches for 112 yards and scored his first touchdown since Week 2 of the 2025 season. Rookie Malachi Fields also recorded his first NFL touchdown, hauling in two receptions for 52 yards, including a 40-yard catch on third-and-20.

The Giants' defense ultimately made the difference. Arizona reached first-and-goal at New York's 3-yard line while trailing by six, but the the Giants forced three straight incompletions. Deonte Banks then intercepted Jacoby Brissett and returned the turnover 98 yards for a touchdown on the final play.

Banks was making his return after missing two games with a calf injury. He logged four tackles, four passes defended and his first career pick-six. New York held the Cardinals to 270 total yards and 147 net passing yards while recording two sacks.

Rookie linebacker Arvell Reese continued his impressive play with nine solo tackles, three passes defended and an interception. Abdul Carter also made several pivotal plays.

The Giants will visit the Washington Commanders next Sunday. The Commanders are 1-3 and in last place in the division.
