Last year in Dec. 2025, Jake Paul suffered a brutal sixth-round defeat against heavyweight Anthony Joshua. Following a hard strike to the jaw and a knockout loss, Paul had to undergo immediate broken-jaw surgery and was indefinitely suspended from boxing.

Such was the nature of the injury that Paul had to undergo a second surgery a few months later. However, despite this, “The Problem Child” claimed that it did not hurt at all. MVP [Most Valuable Promotions] co-founder Nakisa Bidarian recently appeared for an interview with Sun Sport, where he opened up about Paul's intentions on fighting Joshua again.

Now medically cleared and on the hunt for his comeback opponent, Paul is also interested in taking on the winner of the much-awaited Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight. “Truthfully, he wants to fight Anthony Joshua again. That to him is ideal, but I think he was saying he’d fight either guy.

“I talked to Jake last week as we’re going through this process of coming back, and one of the things we discussed is sometimes when you get hurt that way, you don’t want to engage in a fight. You’re more looking to be on the outside and ensuring you don’t get hit,” Bidarian said.

“And honestly what he said to me was, ‘Dude, none of that s**t hurt. Even when he broke my jaw, yeah, it was a zinger, but I wasn’t like, oh my god, it’s hurting so bad.’ I love this, I’m a bigger dog than I’ve ever been, and I want to come back and kill.’ That’s his perspective,” he further added.

However, as of now, no confirmed opponent has been announced for Paul's return fight, although he is expected to take on Darren Till at the end of this year.
