On Monday, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed veteran long snapper Jacob Bobenmoyer following Ross Matiscik's shoulder injury during their 19-17 Week 5 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Bobenmoyer is already traveling to London to join the team ahead of Sunday's game against the Houston Texans, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Matiscik, Jacksonville's regular long snapper and an All-Pro, left Sunday's game early after sustaining the injury. Defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton stepped into the role for the remainder of the contest and successfully executed the snap on the game-winning field goal.

Despite the injury, Matiscik will not be placed on injured reserve, per Rapoport. However, the Jaguars have moved to bring in an experienced replacement as they prepare for their upcoming Week 6 matchup.

Bobenmoyer, 29, entered the NFL in 2020 after going undrafted out of Northern Colorado. He has appeared in 97 NFL games, playing all 17 regular-season games in four of the past five seasons. His professional experience includes three seasons with the Denver Broncos, followed by three years with the Las Vegas Raiders.

The long snapper initially attended Denver's rookie minicamp in 2019 but did not secure the starting position and was released before the season began. He rejoined the Broncos in March 2020 and later signed with the Raiders in March 2023.
