Lions LB Jack Campbell was taken off the field on a stretcher after a scary collision against the Vikings
The Detroit Lions are locked in a tight NFC North battle this Sunday with the Minnesota Vikings.
And now the Lions are worried about one of their defensive stalwarts as well.
Linebacker Jack Campbell was taken off the Ford Field playing surface on a stretcher, after a scary scene unfolded late in the second half. Campbell was involved in a tackle early in the fourth quarter and after a collision he fell hard to the Ford Field turf, and remained motionless on the field as trainers rushed to him.
A clip of the play is linked here, and you can see Campbell and a teammate make a tackle on a throw underneath to tight end T.J. Hockenson from quarterback Kyler Murray.
The crowd at Ford Field fell silent, and several players took a knee around Campbell, wearing the emotions of the moment on their faces:
Campbell was stabilized on the stretcher before he was taken off the field, and Detroit players all came o him to wish him well before he left the field.
