Lane Kiffin's way of keeping pressure off his LSU Tigers players garnered praise from college football legend Tim Tebow.

Kiffin started his first year at the helm with the Tigers. He began his stint after leaving the Ole Miss Rebels in controversial fashion, having a lot of headlines go his way.

Tebow appeared on an episode of the “Bussin With The Boys” podcast on Friday. There, he expressed how Kiffin drawing attention away from LSU players has been impactful in a positive way.

“Because Lane brings on so much noise around himself in the program, I actually think possibly it could give more freedom to the players. Because not a lot of people are talking about the players. They're talking about Lane. They're talking about LSU. They're talking about NFL players. They're talking about all these other things. And like, I think sometimes the players can kind of be like, ‘Oh, cool! All right, we can walk through it because they're all bothering Lane.' I think it's like Lane takes some of that,” Tebow said.

“I think he knows it. Like, I actually think that he's pretty smart in that way. He's like, ‘Oh, and I'll bring it to me, and as long as you're not talking about my D-line, that's ridiculous.' As long as you're not talking about TreyDez Green, as long as he can go play free and play fast, [it] could kind of be a way to get his players to really play free and fast. And he's pretty darn good at it.”

No question that Kiffin that will get heavy attention with his statements to the media. What matters to him is success, which he looks to achieve by leading LSU to the College Football Playoffs this season.

The No. 7 Tigers will look forward to their next matchup, being on the road. They take on the No. 8 Ole Miss Rebels as kickoff commences on Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
