The Chicago Bears have already ruled Kyle Monangai out for the Week 5 contest vs. the Green Bay Packers as he's dealing with a turf toe injury. Running back D'Andre Swift has been dealing with hip and knee injuries throughout the week, and the franchise finally revealed his status for the upcoming game.
Reports indicate that the 27-year-old ball carrier no longer has an injury designation, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. That means Swift is more than likely going to play against the Packers in Green Bay on Sunday.
“Bears RB D'Andre Swift, who missed some practice time this week due to hip and knee injuries, has no injury designation for Sunday's game at Green Bay,” Schefter reported. “Kyle Monangai has been ruled out.”
Swift has appeared in four games so far this season. The seven-year veteran has been playing decently enough, but has experienced some fumbling issues this year. Through 69 rush attempts, Swift has accumulated 311 yards and three touchdowns while fumbling twice. He's also added 84 receiving yards off 10 receptions.

However, Roschon Johnson has a chance to take on more opportunities, as head coach Ben Johnson has proven to utilize at least two running backs in his offensive system. For example, while Swift has had 69 carries, Kyle Monangai has had 60, totaling 324 yards and scoring three touchdowns himself.
Sunday's contest against the Packers is an opportunity to take a two-game lead over the Bears' biggest rival in the NFL. That matchup is scheduled to kick off on Sunday, October 11 at 1 p.m. EST.
