New Philadelphia 76ers superstar LeBron James made his preseason debut against the Nets and found instant chemistry with VJ Edgecomb. James had a stat-sheet stuffing performance while Joel Embiid struggled causing him to give his assessment.
Three-time NBA champion Danny Green also reacted to the game, sharing his thoughts on James' performance on NBA on ESPN afterward.
“I love how he's setting the table…He's adjusting around them, not making them adjust around him…He looked great,” Brown said, noting that James has enough scorers around him on the 76ers to not have to feel the burden of scoring as much as he did previously.

The game included a tense moment as Joel Embiid fell on Jaylen Brown, which led to reactions afterward. Brown led the 76ers in scoring with 18 points, one of just four of his team's players in double digits.
James had 10 points in 18 minutes, coupled with five assists and four rebounds, on 8-of-8 free throw shooting. The 76ers have as much star power as any team in the NBA, now James has a chance to settle in as a facilitator and role player with the ability to take over the game when needed. October 10 will bring a road matchup against Brown's former team, the Boston Celtics, which could help to bring out the best in James and his teammates as they create buzz ahead of their regular season opener on October 20 in New York.
