The Los Angeles Rams and Matthew Stafford have enjoyed a mixed start to the season, despite the quarterback himself being utterly efficient in the three games thus far. His team have started the 2026 campaign 1-2, with Stafford himself close to becoming the first player in NFL history to register 150 touchdown passes with two teams.
Regardless, that is not the only prominent recent achievement that can be chalked down to the Rams star, as he recently featured in none other than Taylor Swift’s brand new music video, Patient Zero. And well, Stafford has now revealed exactly what led to him being involved, per a post on X by The Swift Times.

“It was a cool experience,” he said. “She's been amazing to get to know and honestly amazing to my wife and my girls. And it was kind of that connection that got me involved and some of my buddies. So, it was a really cool experience. My girls were there on the set, got to see how all that was done and how she kind of carries herself.”
Stafford revealed that he ended up playing a slightly different version of himself, but thoroughly enjoyed the process itself.

The interviewer then wanted to know whether winning a VMA will be a bigger achievement than winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy. However, Stafford, who won the Super Bowl LVI with the Detroit Lions, claimed that he was not sure whether he will end up winning the VMA for his troubles.
“Yeah, I don't know if I'll be involved in that one, but I'm probably doing the opposite on that video. So, but just happy to be a part of it. It was a really cool experience,” he said.
There is no doubt that featuring in a video from one of the most famous musicians of all time will rank pretty high in Matthew Staffords career, despite the extent of his NFL heroics.
