The Charlotte Hornets had been busy before the start of training camp, trading Dorian Finney-Smith to the Atlanta Hawks for Buddy Hield and Ryan Nembhard. They then traded Hield to the Chicago Bulls for Rob Dillingham, but it looks like they didn't plan on keeping the guard going into the season after just waiving him, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.

“The Charlotte Hornets are waiving former No. 8 pick Rob Dillingham, sources tell ESPN,” Charania wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
