The Charlotte Hornets have been injury-riddled, and their woes don't appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. After losing both Kon Knueppel and Coby White for the foreseeable future to injuries, the Hornets are now down another guard.

Fourth year guard Brandon Miller suffered a shin contusion during a recent team practice and will miss Tuesday night's preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets. He's considered day-to-day moving forward, the Hornets announced.

Miller is entering a big season after a pair of injury-riddled ones for Charlotte. He played 74 games his rookie season, but managed just 27 in 2024-25 and 65 last season as the team made a push for the playoffs through the play-in tournament.

They ultimately fell short, but the core of Miller, Knueppel, and White led Charlotte to feel comfortable enough to trade LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a trade for Naz Reid.

The Hornets will play four preseason games befor tipping off their 2026-27 regular season campaign against the Brooklyn Nets on October 21st. With Kon Knueppel and Coby White both battling hamstring injuries, it remains to be seen whether the Hornets starting backcourt will be available to start the regular season.
