On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Dodgers punched their ticket to the NLCS with a 4-1 road win over the Atlanta Braves in Game 4 on the road. The Dodgers will now gear up to face the Milwaukee Brewers, who defeated the San Diego Padres in their own Game 4 later in the night.

The Dodgers won this series without much help from superstar Shohei Ohtani, who is clearly not himself as he rushed his way back from injury recently.

However, any ideas of the team benching him can probably be put to rest.

“Dodgers officials have not considered removing him from the lineup, even as the feeble at-bats pile up,” reported Andy McCollough of The Athletic.

“I think Sho is the most talented player who has ever played this game,” president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said. “He was obviously going through it over the summer. Took time off, which I think helped in a lot of ways. That being said, some bad habits were formed. But every time he steps to the plate, I have all the confidence in the world that something big’s going to happen.”

Ohtani was moved down the order in the Dodgers' lineup during the series against the Braves, but it failed to produce any meaningful results, although he did score Los Angeles' first run of the game on Wednesday, capitalizing on a Braves error after getting on base via a walk.

Clearly, the Dodgers didn't need Ohtani to be his usual self to beat the Braves, but that might not be the case against the Brewers, who finished with the best record in the MLB this season.

Game 1 of that matchup is set for Sunday in Milwaukee.
