The Cleveland Guardians are looking to advance to the ALCS. Cleveland has clawed its way back from a 2-0 series deficit against the Chicago White Sox. On Saturday night, the two teams play for all the marbles.

One constant presence throughout the postseason for the Guardians has been Jose Ramirez. He has come up big in the ALDS to help Cleveland reach this point. Before Game 5, he received his flowers from a young teammate.

“The big hit, the energy, the stolen base. He's putting himself in position to score runs and drive in runs. He's made a career of just getting on base, slugging, doing everything right on the baseball field. We trust in (Jose) and he's played through stuff this year that's not easy to go through I'm sure. For him to be feeling good and lock in for these moments when we've had our back against the wall shows his character,” Travis Bazzana said, via News 5 Cleveland reporter Mason Horodyski.

Ramirez has slashed .267/.389/.667 in this postseason to this point. He has also hit a home run and driven in five runs for the Guardians. He had a big performance in Game 3 that helped Cleveland avoid a sweep at the hands of the White Sox.

Cleveland is seeking its first World Series win since 1948. They have not made the World Series since 2016. The postseason is heading down to its final matchups. These teams take the field Saturday night looking to move on to the ALCS. Whoever wins will take on the Tampa Bay Rays and battle for a trip to the Fall Classic.
