The Cleveland Guardians star, José Ramírez, expects a loud crowd when his team faces the Chicago White Sox in Game 5 on Saturday, 10 October. The winner will advance to the American League Championship Series (ALCS).
‘It's going to be a crazy energy, and we're looking forward to it,' Ramírez said in a statement by the Guardians ahead of the game.
His message comes as Cleveland looks to complete a comeback after losing the first two games of the American League Division Series (ALDS).
The Guardians fought back with a 9-3 win in Game 3 on Wednesday, 7 October. They then beat Chicago 9-5 in Game 4 on Thursday, 8 October. Ramírez helped his team stay alive in the series. He hit a two-run triple in Game 3 and followed it with a two-run home run in Game 4.
The series is now tied at 2-2, with the final game set to take place at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
The White Sox won the first two games and were one win away from advancing to the next round. But Cleveland responded with two straight wins to keep its season alive. The winner of Game 5 will face the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALCS, with a place in the World Series still up for grabs.
