Cornerback Greg Newsome signed a one-year deal with the Giants as a free agent this offseason, but his stay with the team won’t be done once the 2026 season comes to an end.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Newsome has agreed to a three-year extension with the NFC East club. The extension is worth $46 million with $32 million in guaranteed money.

Newsome has 25 tackles, an interception and six passes defensed in six games this season.

Newsome was a 2021 first-round pick by the Browns and remained with the team until being traded to the Jaguars during the 2025 season. He has 232 tackles, five interceptions and a sack in 77 regular season appearances. He also played in playoff games for both of his previous teams.
