The Los Angeles Rams are in the middle of another unusual travel plan. However, this time it is the opposing team making the adjustment. After a Week 1 win over the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Giants are heading to Los Angeles early for their upcoming Monday Night Football game against the Rams at SoFi Stadium.

Giants head coach John Harbaugh is changing the team’s usual road game routine. The Giants are set to leave for the West Coast on Saturday instead of Sunday, which is their typical schedule for a Monday night game.

Giants insider Jordan Raanan broke the news on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday.

“The Giants are traveling to Los Angeles on Saturday this week ahead of their Monday night matchup with the Rams. A tweak from John Harbaugh,” Raanan tweeted.

Harbaugh’s travel plan is a clear contrast to the Rams’ approach in Week 1. Sean McVay’s team arrived in Melbourne less than 24 hours before facing the San Francisco 49ers after a 15-hour flight and a 17-hour time difference.

Los Angeles scored in the second quarter but was shut out for the rest of the game. The Rams also went 0-for-2 on fourth down and gave up 20 straight points in a 27-7 loss. Losing Myles Garrett to injured reserve has also left their defense without its top pass rusher.

The Giants are coming off a strong 28-20 win over Dallas. Jaxson Dart completed 23 of 29 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 54 rushing yards. Cam Skattebo ran for 81 yards and a touchdown as New York finished with 165 rushing yards. The Giants also converted 9 of 10 third downs and held the ball for 36:40.
