With the New York Giants flopping against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night, losing 28-6, the game featured a concerning injury exit for quarterback Jaxson Dart. As Jameis Winston had to step in against the Rams for the Giants, this one team insider was shocked to see the usage of one weapon on the team.

There was a ton of excitement surrounding New York heading into the season, with one of the many anticipated storylines being the return of Odell Beckham Jr. back to his former team. However, Beckham has not recorded any catches, no yards, and even no targets, which surprised Pat Leonard, especially since there was chemistry brewing with Winston in the summer.

“Odell Beckham Jr.'s lack of involvement in the Giants' offensive plan is strange, especially considering he arguably has the best chemistry with Jameis Winston of any receiver out there,” Leonard wrote on X Monday night, formerly Twitter.

“Odell Beckham Jr. played only three snaps last night,” Leonard continued the next morning. “Three! Offense had 182 yards of total offense. Nothing worked. But John Harbaugh didn’t try using the veteran receiver who had a strong summer chemistry with Jameis Winston. Very strange. Malik Nabers: one catch for one yard.”

Dart would suffer a knee injury in the first quarter of the matchup against the Rams, leading to Winston's play, though it was a struggle, as he recorded 111 passing yards on completing 11 of 27 pass attempts with one interception. Giants head coach John Harbaugh said the team will know more on Tuesday about Dart's injury, as he believes he avoided a truly serious injury, with the thinking it was an MCL sprain.

“The fact that it's not that outcome that you're talking about, the devastating outcome, is really good news,” Harbaugh said, according to the team's website.

At any rate, it remains to be seen how much time Dart misses for New York, as Winston looks to lead the Giants into Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, with the hope that Beckham gets more involved in the offense.
