Georgia football secured a notable win during its bye week Sunday. And in the process, coach Kirby Smart and company win over fans of country star Luke Bryan. That's because his son Bo Bryan is joining the 2027 recruiting class.

The three-star quarterback chose the Bulldogs officially, becoming the newest College Football Recruiting win for Georgia.

“I bleed red and black. I’m home,” Bryan told recruiting analyst Hayes Fawcett of On3 in revealing his commitment.

Those words come with additional reason too. Bryan grew up a Bulldogs fan just like his famed father.

The Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year winner is a regular attendee of Georgia home games. He's even taken his son to contests inside Sanford Stadium as a fan. Bryan even threw a concert inside the venue in 2013 alongside fellow country megastar Jason Aldean.

The younger Bryan was putting together a stellar 2026 senior season before needing surgery midseason on his shoulder. But his breakout prep season landed him on the radar at Georgia. He's tossed 30 touchdowns with only three interceptions in leading Battle Ground Academy in Tennessee. He also racked up 2,006 passing yards before needing to shut his season down.

Bryan mostly became a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) recruit, though. Austin Peay rose as one offer, alongside UT-Martin, East Tennessee State and North Alabama. So Georgia becomes his biggest opportunity yet.

He won't be the only Georgia QB commit for the 2027 class. The Bulldogs landed four-star Colton Nussmeier over the summer, the brother of former LSU star Garrett and son of New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Doug.
