And just like that, the Atlanta Braves' season is over. Atlanta's attempt to get to the World Series fell short again, this time losing to the defending champions Los Angeles Dodgers. A big talking point about their postseason run is Ronald Acuna Jr's struggles at the plate. Atlanta's star right fielder was largely invisible in the game, struggling to make an impact both on offense and defense.

Acuna was booed off the field after the Braves' loss in Game 4 of the National League Division Series. Acuna was emotional after that game, noting that while the boos hurt, he understood where they were coming from. Former MLB star Curtis Granderson sent a message to the Braves star telling him to keep his head up and be ready to bounce back next year.

“I had the biggest markets, both sides of New York, and it makes it challenging when you're in those situations to go up and continue to stay positive,” Granderson said. “Remember, there's a ton of kids. You're their favorite player. You have put up amazing numbers. You're one of the best to do it. Remind yourself of that. Don't ever sell yourself short of that. It's gonna be some downs, so there's gonna be some low parts, but things are going to come back up.”

Legendary reliever Pedro Martinez also chimed in after Granderson, saying, “We love Ronald, and we're proud of him too.”

Acuna struggled during the entire NLDS against the Dodgers, recording just two hits in 15 at-bats and striking out four times. The Braves star was non-existent in the final game of the series, going 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and just one walk. After hearing the boos, here's what Acuna had to say.

“It’s hard because I didn’t do anything for my team or my teammates,” Acuña said. “It’s the hardest time. That’s the first time that they boo me here at home, but I can’t control that.”
