Two weeks into the 2026 NFL season, the wide receiver landscape is already separating into some fascinating tiers. One breakout star can make an overwhelming case to sit atop the rankings. Meanwhile, several established names search for more consistent production. Add a lengthy injury report featuring several prominent receivers, and fantasy football managers have plenty to consider before setting their Week 3 lineups.

Week 3 Top Fantasy Football Picks

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, SEA (@ WAS)

Smith-Njigba delivered the kind of performance that can single-handedly swing a fantasy football matchup. He caught nine of 11 targets for 155 yards and three touchdowns against Arizona. The performance continued an extraordinary opening to the season. JSN now has 277 receiving yards through two games. He has established himself as the centerpiece of Seattle's passing attack. Smith-Njigba gets another attractive matchup against Washington. There is little reason to move him out of fantasy lineups. At this point, he is an automatic start in virtually every format.

Justin Jefferson, MIN (@ TB)

Jefferson led the Vikings with 55 receiving yards on three catches from six targets against Chicago. It was another example of Jefferson making the most of his opportunities despite an inconsistent Minnesota passing game. Jefferson's ranking remains driven by talent and target share. Tampa Bay presents another chance for him to break through for a true difference-making performance. Fantasy managers should not overthink this one. Jefferson remains a must-start WR1.

Chris Olave, NO (vs. LV)

Olave delivered one of the week's strongest receiver performances. He caught eight of 10 targets for 86 yards and a touchdown against Baltimore. The touchdown was particularly important. Olave hauled in a 21-yard scoring pass in the fourth quarter to tie the game and help spark the Saints' comeback. Olave now gets Las Vegas. The key will be monitoring his hamstring throughout the week. Assuming he avoids any setback, Olave belongs firmly in the WR1 conversation.

Week 3 Fantasy Football Sleepers

Drake London, ATL (@ GB)

London's fantasy football managers are still waiting for a breakout performance. He caught four of five targets for 51 yards in Atlanta's ugly 34-3 loss to Carolina. That improved slightly on his Week 1 production. The biggest issue has been Atlanta's quarterback play. This has left London without enough opportunities to demonstrate his considerable fantasy ceiling. Week 3 could provide a potential turning point. Better quarterback play could have an immediate impact on London's target quality and overall production. The possibility of an offensive shift makes him an intriguing sleeper for managers willing to bet on a rebound.

Rashee Rice, KC (@ MIA)

Rice showed signs of improvement in Week 2 after a disappointing opening performance. He finished with 83 receiving yards. However, the absence of a touchdown kept his fantasy football production relatively modest. That makes the next week or two important for fantasy managers. Rice remains talented enough to produce strong numbers. However, his fantasy value will depend heavily on whether his target share increases. The matchup against Miami could provide opportunities, particularly if the Chiefs are pushed into a higher-volume passing game.

Garrett Wilson, NYJ (@ DET)

Wilson continued to make the most of his opportunities in Week 2. He caught five of seven targets for 57 yards and a touchdown against Green Bay. The production was encouraging, particularly because Wilson has now recorded at least five receptions in each of the opening two games. Now, the matchup with Detroit could force New York to throw more aggressively. That could give Wilson additional opportunities to turn his steady reception totals into a larger fantasy performance.

Injury and late-week notes

The Week 3 injury report features several significant names fantasy managers should monitor closely. Nico Collins is dealing with a hamstring issue. Zay Flowers continues to be monitored after his own hamstring concern. Mike Evans is listed with a hip issue. DJ Moore is dealing with a shoulder problem.

Indianapolis' Alec Pierce has a heel issue, while Michael Pittman Jr. is listed with a foot injury. Green Bay's Jayden Reed is dealing with a neck issue. Miami's Caleb Douglas has an ankle injury.

Fantasy managers should resist making final decisions based solely on an early-week injury designation. Participation levels throughout practice and official game-status reports will provide a clearer indication of who is genuinely at risk of missing Week 3.

Week 3 Outlook

Smith-Njigba has quickly established himself as one of the most reliable fantasy footbal receivers in the league. Meanwile, Jefferson and Olave remain high-end WR1s despite very different circumstances surrounding their offenses. The sleeper tier presents more uncertainty, but London, Rice, and Wilson each have identifiable paths toward improved production.

The key for fantasy managers is balancing individual talent with offensive opportunity. A great receiver can be limited by quarterback play. Of course, favorable game script can also turn a secondary option into a fantasy difference-maker.
