The Atlanta Falcons helped tease a possible Michael Penix Jr. return on Wednesday. This update comes amid Tua Tagovailoa and even Cooper Rush feeling banged up already. Now Atlanta received some important injury updates before facing the Carolina Panthers.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter helped unveil where things stand Thursday for the Falcons' QB room.

“Michael Penix Jr. and Cooper Rush were full participants today,” Schefter posted on the social media website X, formerly Twitter.

However, “Tua Tagovailoa did not practice today.”

The latter quarterback currently is dealing with an oblique injury. Penix is returning from his devastating knee injury of 2025. Rush managed to handle QB1 duties during opening week. This despite dealing with back spasms.
