Former AEW TNT and Trios Champion, Kevin Knight, is currently one of the most talked-about names in the pro-wrestling industry. Just days before his scheduled WrestleDream tag team championship match against The Young Bucks, Knight sat down for an exclusive interview with ClutchPoints.

Wrestling for AEW since 2022, Knight has emerged as a top star on the roster. However, while only a few wrestlers get to become a regular name on TV programming, there are several more talent names waiting to be discovered. Speaking with ClutchPoints, Knight was asked about his thoughts on some of the most underrated women and men wrestlers in AEW.

“Oof, that's a great question 'cause there are a lot of people. I'ma start on the women's side. The women are so talented, like, so talented. I really like Red Velvet and her energy that she brings. Her and Zayda Steel. I think Zayda Steel is a great prospect. She's doing her thing. She has great charisma, great energy, and I feel like when the time comes, she's gonna shine.

“The roster is vast, and she's still very new, you know, learning her chops and everything, but once she's ready, both of them, Red Velvet and Zayda Steel, I think they'll shine on television,” Knight added.

He further shared the MXM Collection as the underrated duo of the men's division. “As for the men's side, there are so many. Me personally, I'm a big fan of MXM Collection. I feel like they bring a different energy to the AEW locker room. Very entertaining, very fashionable, very different, and I think they will shine. I think they do shine each and every time they're on TV, so I think with more opportunities, they're gonna make the most of it.”

Red Velvet was last seen on AEW during the Jun. 17, 2026 edition of Collision. However, she continues to actively wrestle on ROH. Quite new to AEW, Zayda Steel last wrestled Thekla on AEW Collision back in Sept. 2026, and her latest match dates back to the Sept. 28, 2026 edition of ROH. Mansoor and Mason Madden last teamed up with Johnny TV on the Sept. 28, 2026 edition of ROH as MXM TV.

Will AEW's Kevin Knight ever wrestle in India?

Further discussing Mansoor's recent pro-wrestling run in India under WXM and Kranti, Knight was asked about his thoughts on wrestling in India as a shot. While he has not been approached yet, Knight is open to discussions. “The Jet is good in any country, any city that he goes to. So if they ever reach out to me, I would love to work with them if the time is right. You know, if the stars and sun and moon align for me to, you know, go out there and it makes sense, I would love to. I've always wanted to go to India, so yeah, let's make that happen.”

AEW wrestler Kevin Knight's favorite wrestling arena

While Knight has not yet wrestled in India, he has fought all across the globe. However, after wrestling in various countries, Knight confirmed Arena Coliseo in Mexico to be his favorite.

“For me personally, it's Arena Coliseo. Everybody talks about Arena Mexico in Mexico, but what's really popping is Arena Coliseo, in Mexico City. It's like a little smaller, a little bit more grungier. But just the energy in that stadium is so peak; it's so top tier, you have no other option but to show out each and every time. So I love Arena Coliseo, out in Mexico City. The energy is unmatched, unmatched,” he shared.

Knight had teamed up with “Speedball” Mike Bailey during his match in Mexico City's Arena Coliseo. However, that tag team, JetSpeed, is now over, and Knight now finds himself in a new alliance with Kyle Fletcher.

Discussing the differences between the two teams, Knight claimed that his tag teams have always been with people with whom he won't hang out in real life. “It's funny because all of my tag team partners have been people that in my normal life, in my regular life, I would not hang out with them or, like, spend extra time with them or anything like that. But once we get into the ring, that bond is 100% there, whether that's with Kushida, Speedball, or Fletcher.

“It's‌ still a little early with Fletcher. We've been tagging for what? About two months, you know, on and off. But we definitely have a great chemistry that's grown on camera,” he added.

However, despite their lack of tag team experience together, Knight is sure they will be able to defeat The Young Bucks at WrestleDream. “Do I think? I know we can. We've done it once, we've done it, we've done it once in a tables match. I've teamed with The Bucks and everything, so I know them like the back of my hand. And Don Callis has won championships with them, so he's got… He's told us the strategy to get in their ear and everything, so you gotta tune in this Saturday to see.”

AEW's Kevin Knight talks about the ego wars amongst Don Callis Family members

The Don Callis Family keeps on growing and currently boasts some of the toughest and most talented names in the industry. When asked about possible ego wars amongst the members, Knight claimed that they exist because of the family dynamic.

“You know, it's just like any other family. The people are gonna argue; people are gonna have disputes. Not everybody's gonna get along. We all come from different backgrounds and different age groups, different eras.

“You got Lance Archer that's been doing this for twenty-plus years. You got Hechicero that's been doing this for twenty-plus years, longer than me and Kyle have been alive, you know what I mean? So then you got me and Kyle, that's like the new young up-and-comers trying to make a name for ourselves,” he shared. “So there's different dynamics within the family. You know, you got your aunts and uncles, you got your cousins, you got your brothers, you got your step-cousins, whatever it is, you know, cousins by marriage,” he added.

However, despite their differences and personal dynamics, every member in the family wants to win and keep their gold, and that is all they care about. Earlier this year, Knight turned heel on his former partner, Mike Bailey, and joined the Don Callis Family.

More on Knight's interview will come out soon, where he talks about his relationship with Tony Khan, Kenny Omega, Tony Khan's coffee order, AEW-NJPW differences, and more.
