Micah Parsons was unable to face his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, in Week 6 as the Green Bay Packers pass rusher continues to recover from injury. However, the other key part of that blockbuster trade, Kenny Clark, is back playing his first game at Lambeau Field.
With the Dallas Cowboys behind 20-7 in the third quarter, Clark helped himself to a highlight on his return as he recorded a sack on former teammate Jordan Love just outside the Packers' own end zone.
As veteran NFL reporter Ed Werder noted on X, formerly Twitter, it was Clark's first sack of the season. Prior to Week 6, Clark had recorded 12 total tackles in his first five games of the season.
Clark was the Packers' first-round pick in 2016 and spent nine productive years in Green Bay. He recorded 35.0 sacks and 417 total tackles over 140 games for the Packers before being included in the trade that sent Micah Parsons to Lambeau. He continued his consistent production during his first season in Dallas, where he had 36 total tackles and 3.0 sacks.
Despite losing Clark and missing Parsons for the start of the season, the Packers defense is looking quite good thus far. They have picked off Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott multiple times, as they continue their impressive run of interceptions. It will be interesting to see just how much more dangerous that defense will get once Parsons is back and up to speed.
As for Clark and the Cowboys, they still have some work to do in order to become competitive in the NFC.
