The Arizona Cardinals pulled off one of the shocks of Week 6 as went into Los Angeles and beat the Rams, 18-16. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett and the offense did not score a single touchdown as kicker Chad Ryland scored all 18 of the team's points through six field goals.
Still, Brissett credited the unit's ability to put together long drives to help keep their defense fresh was a crucial factor in their win over the Rams.
“We're sustaining drives. We're keeping the other team off the field. I thought the defense played great today. When you sustain drives, you help them stay rested. They go out there and fire out the ball, and I think they did a really good job. Hats off to them,” Brissett said in the post-game press conference.
Brissett and the Cardinals absolutely dominated the time of possession battle as they held the ball for nearly 35 minutes compared to 25 for the Rams. Brissett did his part as went 24-of-35 with 218 yards and an interception.

Matthew Stafford, who had thrown for over 300 passing yards in each of his last four games, was limited to just 222 yards. Stafford also credited the Cardinals for expertly executing their plan against them.
With the win, the Cardinals tie the Rams at 2-4, but Arizona goes above LA in the NFC West standings due to their head-to-head win. The Cardinals will look to put together their first win streak of the season when they host the Denver Broncos next week. As for the struggling Rams, they travel to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders.
