The Bengals got a good week from their kicker and the league has recognized him for it.
Evan McPherson has been named AFC special teams player of the week for his role in CincinnatiâÂÂs 33-27 victory over Tampa Bay in Week 1.
McPherson finished Sunday 4-of-4 on field goals, hitting from 20, 55, 58, and 32 yards. He was also 3-0of-3 on extra points.
McPherson was the only player to hit two field goals of at least 55 yards in Week 1.
This is McPhersonâÂÂs fifth special teams player of the week award. He last won it for Week 13 of the 2025 season.
