The Solheim Cup is staying in Europe.

Captain Anna Nordqvist’s team took care of things on home soil on Sunday and did so in stressful confiditions as they began the day tied with their American counterparts.

The win returns the Solheim Cup to Europe as noted and gives them their first victory in the competition since 2023. While that sounds like they haven’t won it in a long time the Europeans, like their Ryder Cup counterparts, have dominated the most recent history of the Solheim Cup with 4 wins in the last 5 playings of the competition, now officially.

Sunday did indeed begin tied between the two sides and ultimately ended with a 15-13 score, proving how dramatic of a finish this whole thing was.

It feels like we say this all of the time, but there really is not enough team competition in golf. Thankfully the Presidents Cup will be rolling around in a couple of weeks, and several of the players from this Solheim Cup will be a part of the new WTGL venture in a few month’s time.
