Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy shared a positive update on his wife, Mia, who survived a shooting in late July.

Mia Bieniemy traveled with other wives to the Chiefs’ game against the Seahawks last week.

“She’s doing great. . . . She was a rockstar,” Bieniemy said Thursday, via KCTV. “She’s doing great. I appreciate you asking about her. Her rehab has been going great. She actually had an opportunity to come out here and hang out, and I’m sure I got on her nerves.”

Mia was critically injured in a shooting at the family’s Northern Virginia home. She was shot twice, with injuries to her arm and shoulder.

Their son, Elijah, was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
