The Philadelphia Eagles will be facing the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, and ahead of the matchup, offensive coordinator Sean Mannion made some changes to how they approach practice. It all started due to their performance last week against the Carolina Panthers, where they finished with 35 rushing yards and didn't score in the third quarter.
The next day after the game, Mannion wanted the offense to come in earlier than usual. From there, the routine changed, according to Ashlyn Sullivan of NBC Sports.
“Instead of breaking into position groups, more than 40 offensive players gathered in the team’s large film room,” Sullivan wrote. “Mannion then walked through all 64 offensive snaps from the Panthers game, breaking down what went wrong and holding players accountable to their mistakes. The game review as an entire offense took an hour and a half.
“The offensive players were then instructed to go to their position group rooms where they watched the entire game … again.”
Some of the players mentioned that they had never gone through a process like that before during a week of practice. They also noted that Mannion had a different demeanor, one where he took accountability for the offense's issues but also showed the team where they messed up.

It’s easy when things aren’t going right to be like, ‘It ain't my fault.’ That’s so far from the truth. When you are open and honest with each other, that film does not lie.”
Hopefully, a change in routine can help the Eagles come out better on offense, and they have the perfect opportunity to do so against a Cowboys defense that isn't the best.
