The Philadelphia Eagles are now 2-2 on the season following their 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Though the Rams erased a 10-point deficit to hand Philadelphia its second consecutive defeat, Eagles star Jordan Mailata refused to allow the team's early-season skid to define their season.

After the game, when asked about the team's recent losing streak, Mailata made it clear that there is no reason for the Eagles to panic this early in the season.

“I'm not concerned. It's Week 4. I'm not concerned, and I can't be concerned. If I get concerned, that's what it starts from. It's like an infection; it starts from the top down. I can't ask, I just doubled down. Gotta double down on what we do good and double down on what we do bad and correct it. Correct what we're doing bad right now,” Mailata said.

The Eagles appeared to be in control for most of Sunday's matchup against the Rams, but everything fell apart in the fourth quarter. The collapse turned what looked like a comfortable Eagles victory into another disappointing loss.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts endured one of his toughest performances of the season as Philadelphia struggled to consistently move the football. The Eagles quarterback completed just 12 of 27 passes for 93 yards and threw two touchdown passes.

However, Philadelphia's offensive struggles were made more understandable by the number of key players who were unavailable or forced out of the game.

The Eagles were already without receiver DeVonta Smith and tight end Dallas Goedert heading into Sunday's game. To make matters worse, running back Saquon Barkley suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter and did not return.

After a disappointing 2025 season and an even less lackluster start to this season, the team must find a solution to its struggles before taking on the 3-1 Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5.
