Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream stole a game on the road on Monday, beating the Golden State Valkyries, 79-65, in Game 2 of the WNBA Finals at Chase Center to tie the best-of-seven series at 1-1.

Reese led the charge with a double-double of 30 points and 16 rebounds, which were both game-highs, in 34 minutes. She added three assists and two blocks. She shot 10-of-16 from the field and 9-of-11 from the free-throw line.

The 26-year-0ld forward became only the third player in league history to post at least 30 points and 15 rebounds in the WNBA Finals, joining Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones of the New York Liberty. The beautiful coincidence was not lost on Reese.

“It's funny. They told me to go get it. They told me to keep going and push through in our last game in New York. So shout out to them, but I'm just doing whatever it takes to win,” said Reese in the postgame interview.

"Got back to who we are" 👌

“This environment is tough to play in. Shout out to the fans. Shout out to my team, though. We came in. We fought. Game 1 was tough for us, but we moved on, turned the page, and got back to who we are,” added the Defensive Player of the Year.

“Doing the little things, being intentional with every detail. We watched film and saw the things that we messed up.”

Game 3 will move to State Farm Arena on Wednesday.
