The game between the Atlanta Dream and the New York Liberty on Thursday at Barclays Center became physical early, and Angel Reese got the rough end of the stick.
The Dream were looking to solidify their grip on the No. 4 spot heading into the playoffs.
That is why Atlanta cannot afford to lose Reese, who was forced to exit the game with four seconds left in the first half after getting hit in the face by an inadvertent elbow from Sabrina Ionescu, who was whistled for a flagrant foul.

Reese tallied six points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 16 minutes in the first half. It is still unclear if she can return to the game.
The Dream are leading the Liberty at halftime, 41-26.
