It was encouraging to see Kevin Durant having fun at the Houston Rockets Media Day. Durant's cheerfulness was a good omen, especially after his first season with the Rockets did not end as well as he had hoped.
The veteran star was hampered by multiple injuries in the first round of the playoffs and was limited to only two games. The Rockets lost to the Los Angeles Lakers, 4-2.
Houston is ready to launch into a new campaign, with Durant leading the charge. With the way the two-time Finals MVP hilariously roasted Amen Thompson after an interview, it is clear that the team's chemistry and brotherhood have improved.

It is worth noting that Durant was rumored to be unhappy with his teammates, even allegedly throwing some of them under the bus in a group chat from his burner account. The 16-time All-Star brushed off everything and called it “nonsense.”
Durant and Thompson are among the retained core of the Rockets, along with Alperen Sengun, Fred VanVleet, Jabari Smith Jr., Reed Sheppard, and Tari Eason.
