Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is known for sharing his opinion and never holding back, but his latest take could reverberate in his team's opening game against the Lakers. On the latest edition of The Draymond Green Show, Green was joined by NBA on Prime host Taylor Rooks.

Rooks and Green discussed who they think will win MVP this season, and Green had an interesting take.

“I’m going to go Jalen Brunson…he's the type of dude that's convinced himself all summer that like ‘they don't respect me, and I won a championship, and they still don't respect me'”

But he noted one worry about Brunson: his health.

“I think, coming off the surgery, my only worry with Jalen Brunson is I don't know how healthy he is right now. I know he was coming off the surgery. I don't know what that looks like at the top of the season. I have not seen a single New York Knicks preseason game, so I don't know if he's even played in the preseason. If there's some injury stuff there, that's my only worry.”

But along with his caveat for a Brunson MVP, he threw some shade Luka Doncic's way.

“Luka will never win an MVP in the NBA. This is the last possible year he can win it.”

Green's take made sense, as he explained after the statement.

“Because if Luka goes average 34 points a game, they're going to be like, ‘Oh yeah, of course Luka averaged 34 points a game.' It's like, [Jayson Tatum] can go average 30. They're going to be like, ‘Oh yeah, we know he can average 30 points a game.' Both of them can average 30, 11, and 8. Oh yeah, we know they're supposed to. It won't be viewed as somebody else averaging those numbers. People get fatigued of it.”
