The Los Angeles Dodgers are one loss away from having their season end, but Kyle Tucker is not ready to write them off just yet. Los Angeles fell 6-2 to the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series on Wednesday at Dodger Stadium, falling into a 3-0 series hole.

After the game, the star outfielder made it clear he still believes the Dodgers have what it takes to dig out of it.

“This team has won four games before, so that’s what we’re going to have to do,” Tucker said. “I believe in this group, the staff, the clubhouse and guys in here. I think if there’s a team to do it, it’s this team, but it’s not going to come easy, obviously.”

"If there's a team to do it, it's this team."

He also knows the Brewers are just as hungry. “They want to win as well, so we’ve just got to come out and get after it tomorrow,” he said.

History is not on Los Angeles’ side. The 2004 Boston Red Sox remain the only team in MLB history to win a best-of-seven postseason series after falling behind 3-0, rallying past the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series. The Dodgers themselves have trailed 3-0 in a best-of-seven postseason series only once before, when the Baltimore Orioles swept them in the 1966 World Series.

Still, there is a reason Tucker has faith in this group. The Dodgers are the two-time defending World Series champions, and they swept these same Brewers in four games in last year’s NLCS. Tucker joined the club this past offseason on a four-year, $240 million deal.

To keep that run alive, the offense will have to wake up quickly. The Dodgers have scored only seven runs in three games, have yet to hit a home run in the series, and have struggled badly with runners in scoring position all postseason.

Milwaukee, meanwhile, has done almost everything right. Jake Bauers and Garrett Mitchell hit back-to-back home runs in the seventh inning to flip Game 3, and the Brewers’ bullpen has been nearly untouchable throughout October.

The Dodgers will try to stave off elimination in Game 4 on Thursday at Dodger Stadium, with the Brewers aiming to clinch their first National League pennant.
