The Los Angeles Dodgers watched the Milwaukee Brewers score four unanswered runs to win 7-4 Monday. Now manager Dave Roberts must erase this 2-0 hole the defending World Series champs are in. But he didn't mince words about one moment involving catcher Will Smith.

Which Roberts believes changed the momentum in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto faced Brice Turang and fired a 91 miles per hour cutter at him. That pitched got ruled as a ball and Turang was allowed to walk. But the look on Yamamoto's face indicates Smith should've called for the ABS challenge in that moment.

Roberts himself dropped honesty with reporters when asked about that moment.

“I didn’t appreciate that,” Roberts said. “Will’s got a great view of that, you try to defer to your catchers for challenges. If you look back, that changes the outing.”

Worse for Smith and the Dodgers? Milwaukee later took the lead during that same inning. Christian Yelich blasted a single toward center field, driving Turang and David Hamilton home to take the 3-2 lead.

Fortunately LA managed to retake the lead momentarily. Tommy Edman hit a sacrifice bunt that brought Kyle Tucker home, tying the game at 3-3. Freddie Freeman later smashed a sacrifice fly ball over to left field, which brought Edman home. Milwaukee even challenged Edman coming home but the call got upheld.

Still, Smith and LA watched two of its own leads evaporate in trying to even the series before returning to Chavez Ravine. The NLCS resumes on Wednesday with first pitch set for 5 p.m.
