With the Los Angeles Dodgers preparing for the playoffs, the team is enjoying a bye week and will use it to finalize the postseason roster, as manager Dave Roberts provided some key updates. As the Dodgers hope for a boost in the playoffs, Roberts specifically had updates on rookie Josue De Paula and pitcher Edgardo Henriquez.
According to Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register, De Paula will join Los Angeles on Tuesday after he was optioned by the team. Henriquez is “expected” to be on the playoff roster for the team as he keeps making progress by throwing bullpen sessions and has plans to ramp up recovery, as he was dealing with a low-grade back strain.
“Dave Roberts said Josue De Paula will join [the] Dodgers in LA on Tuesday for bye week. Will also be ‘conversations' about adding Hyeseong Kim as a pinch-running option off the bench for NLDS,” Plunkett wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
